The configuration wizard appears when you first launch Isimio. You can return to it at any time by clicking the gear icon to open the menu, selecting the Configuration option, and clicking the Wizard button at the top.
The wizard provides an administrator with functionality to quickly set up a basic scheduling schema. For more advanced functions, either use the configuration tool from the menu, or edit Schedule Object and Schedule Field records directly.
When it loads, the administrator will need to select an object to schedule. This will be the object that appears inside the calendar. Using the wizard, you may only select one object to schedule, although you can configure additional objects using one of the aforementioned methods.
Once an object is selected, several options will be made available:
Grouped According To provides a list of relational fields for the selected scheduled object. This option determines which records will appear as rows in the scheduling interface. For example, a case is related to an account, so by selecting Account ID we will set the scheduler to show each account as a row.
If you select a polymorphic relationship field, you will be further prompted to select a single type of object. For example, if selecting the Owner ID field for the case object, you may select between Queue and User.
Pre-load All Parent Records determines whether all records from the selected parent will be loaded and create rows in the scheduler. In our example, this will mean that all accounts will be loaded and create rows. This option is recommended if you have a limited number of records in the selected object. If the option is not selected, then only records that already have scheduled records within the viewed time span will be loaded. For example, only accounts that already have cases with a due date of today.
The Start and End fields determine which fields on the object will be used to specify the start date/time and end date/time for a record. This information is used to correctly load and display records according to the correct date. If an object does not have an end date field, then select the same field that you did for the start time.
Visible Fields determines which fields will be displayed in each box representing a record. Note that the start and end fields are always displayed, and selecting them again in this list will cause duplication. Please minimize the amount of fields that go here, as selecting too many may cause records to become very tall and impact the user experience.
Editable Fields determines which fields will be displayed for editing when creating or modifying a record.
When you are finished, press the Save button. If it does not appear, then you have likely forgot to fill in at least one option.
