An ATS gets the candidate placed. Then what?

An applicant tracking system (ATS) manages candidates up to the point of placement: applications, pipelines, interviews, offers. Staffing software carries on after that: the shifts, the compliance that keeps expiring, the timesheets, pay and bill, and the invoice.

Isimio is staffing software that also covers the recruitment front end, so a temporary or shift-based agency can run the whole cycle in one system. That doesn't make it the right answer for everyone, and the bottom of this page says when it isn't.

Side by side

“Typical ATS” describes the category, not any one product. Some ATS products add parts of this through modules or partners, so check the specific product you're looking at.

Which one do you need?

An ATS on its own

Permanent placement and executive search. If you make a handful of placements a year and the client takes it from there, you need a good ATS and nothing behind it. We'd tell you that on the demo.

Staffing software

Temporary, locum, supply and shift-based work. If you book the same people into shifts every week, check their compliance at each booking, and turn their hours into pay and invoices, the ATS is the smallest part of your day. What Isimio covers.

Both, connected

Mixed perm and temp desks, or an ATS your recruiters already like. Keep it. Isimio connects to Seven20, TargetRecruit, Asymbl and Tracker, and candidate data lands in its scheduling and compliance engine without anyone retyping it.

Questions we get asked

Is Isimio an ATS?

It includes what an ATS does for temporary and shift-based recruitment: applications, CV parsing, pipelines, onboarding and compliance checklists. It is built for what happens after the placement too. If you would rather keep your ATS, Isimio connects to Seven20, TargetRecruit, Asymbl and Tracker.

What is temporary staffing software?

Software for agencies that place workers into shifts or short assignments, often many times a week. Alongside recruitment it handles availability, shift booking, compliance checks at the point of booking, timesheets, pay and bill rates and client invoicing.

Can we move from our current system?

Yes. On the Managed plan our team handles implementation and a guided migration from your legacy system. With customisation, most teams are live within 4 to 8 weeks.
